Hot Wire Stonefly

This pattern is designed to imitate nymphs of the green stonefly (Stenoperla prasina); which are common in stony streams of good water quality. The spanflex legs provide some natural movement to this substantially weighted nymph. The colour of the natural may vary quite considerably, even on the same stretch of water.

Fishing Tip:  A good pattern to use on backcountry streams when increased water flow dislodges naturals from beneath boulders and cobbles. Use it on its own or on the dropper.
